The secret to getting your content in front of the right niche (for free article marketing, free video marketing or paid campaigns) is to put your information right in front of their face. Long Tail Pro is the shortcut. It is as simple as A-B-C.
When people come to the internet for a solution, they pop open a search window (could be on YouTube, Google, Pinterest, Bing, etc).
They enter a word or phrase.
It might be “how to get free likes on Facebook” or “lose weight fast.”
Then they wait for the search engine gods to drop the answers right on to their lap.
You need to have your offer come up as one of those answers.
On the first page. Sounds easy enough. But sometimes you can feel like you are chasing your tail.
Is it the right keyword phrase? Is there enough traffic? Is it going to be too hard to rank for?
Let’s take it one step at a time. A then B then C.
You have to create content that is keyword optimized for their search terms.
I have used several keyword research tools and the one that I am addicted to is called Long Tail Pro Platinum.
Use it to put your content right in their face.
It is as simple as A-B-C.
What do I mean by that?
A. Address the needs and problems of your target audience. Understand what your niche is looking for.
Brainstorm a list of issues, problems, questions, challenges, potential solutions for your target audience.
I explained how to find people that you can help with your blog here.
Speak their language.
B. Be there when they search (through keyword-targeted content) for solutions to their problems.
Find the right phrases that they are searching for and target those with your content.
(I show you how in my demo of Long Tail Pro below.)
Get your content to show up on the first page of Google.
And your videos on the first page of YouTube.
C. Clinch the deal with great answers and the expectation of success (give them what they want) and a solution (give them what they need).
Blogging or create videos to meet the needs and desires of your audience.
These folks will want to buy what you are selling.
Create content that you are passionate about and that will address the problems of your target.
Blog on purpose to address the needs and problems of your target audience.
Blog about the most profitable, lowest competition keywords that you know you can rank for quickly and with the least amount of effort and struggle.
Music to my ears…
And that’s why I’ve been using Long Trail Pro lately. For the price, it’s the best keyword research tool available in 2013.
It was created by a guy named Spencer Haws. It is less intimidating that some of the other keyword tools like Market Samurai and SECockpit.
Personally, I used Market Samurai for the past 6 months and loved it.
Until I discovered Long Tail Pro, that is. But I will get into the comparisons later..
Long Tail Pro Review: Go For It.
Long Tail Pro is an easy-to-use keyword research tool.
It makes it easy to identify keywords that get solid traffic but have low competition.
Use the words to create a targeted article for your blog or to build a silo blog.
After using other tools for months (I will give a quick comparison in a bit), I was amazed at how quickly it returned the information and how easy it was to understand what was presented.
It works great even after the switch to the Google Keyword Planner.
If you have felt like your hands were tied behind your back with other tools, this is the tool for you.
Try the free version which includes the ability to search multiple keywords at once, get up to 800 results per seed word, pre-filter keywords according to multiple search criteria, automatically find keyword-targeted domains and review the competition for the top 10 Google results.
The free trial is good for 10 days.
You can find a years worth of key words in 10 days with Long Tail Pro!
Long Tail Pro also comes with extra features that are available when you upgrade to the Platinum edition.
BONUS: When you purchase through my link, you get a free training video that reveals a secret ninja trick to sneak up on the competition.
The four features that are a big deal include:
- super easy-to-use KC (keyword competitiveness) indicator – know what to focus on in seconds by looking at the KC score- a number between 0 and 100 that tells you how challenging the competition is for the keyword.
- save favorites – save time and never lose your list of important keywords again.
- add your own keywords – (when you purchase through my affiliate link, I will show a way to sneak up on your competition)
- track your rankings – track all of your keywords in just one click!
Like I said, addicted.
I have this live demo where I show you how simple it is to use Long Tail Pro to get focused on the right words and start crushing it:

FAQs for Long Tail Pro
Is it compatible with my Mac or only on a PC?
It works on both just fine. I use it on my Mac as well as my PC laptop, so I can attest that it runs flawlessly on both platforms.
Can I install it on more than one computer?
Yes. I have it both on my iMac and my PC laptop. You can install it on up to three different computers for the base price.
The only limitation that I have noticed is that the program does not sync data between the devices.
Do I need any special software or applications to make it work?
Long Tail Pro runs via something called Adobe Air. It’s free and auto-installs itself upon opening up Long Tail Pro for the first time.
Make sure to do the updates for Adobe Air when prompted.
Does Long Tail Pro offer any customer support?
Yes, Long Tail Pro Support responds to tickets quickly.
How much does it cost?
There are three options at the time of writing this review:
1) download a free trial version to test-drive the tool for 10 days;
2) you can purchase the standard Long Tail Pro version for a one-time fee of $97;
3) you can buy the Long Tail Pro Platinum version for $97 today, plus $17 per month (cancel at any time).
Who do I buy it through?
This product is sold only as an instantly downloadable file through ClickBank. I am an affiliate with ClickBank. They have been around for a long time and they distribute tons of products.
Is this program hard to learn?
No. Check out the demo again to see how easy it is to use. It has a simple interface but it gives powerful insight into where you should be focusing your effort.
No more fumbling around and chasing your tail (no pun intended)!
Long Tail Pro vs Market Samurai?
They are both awesome. But, Market Samurai is slow. I mean SLOW. Sometimes.
It also has a lot of features and detail (which I was originally drawn to) but I hardly ever used them and sometimes I would get distracted by all of the information.
Plus, Market Samurai is more expensive at $149.
I do recognize that when you upgrade to the Platinum version, the cost will balance out in a few months but the speed of Long Tail Pro is incredible.
If you want a solid tool, fast and clear results, then Long Tail Pro is the way to go.
If you want to a quick look at what I mean, take a look at this screen shots of Market Samurai.
This is a snapshot of the level of detail provided by Market Samurai. It is extraordinary in its level of detail.
You can set criteria based on the number of competitors that have the keyword in the title, the Url, the anchor text of an inbound external link, in the domain name and more.
You can set criteria on many factors and look at a lot of data. It is more information than is needed to select a key word to write a solid article on.
Find the appropriate keywords, write great content, optimize on page and off page and get on with it.
You only need to ensure that you are reaching the right audience, that they are interested in buying what you are offering (commerciality), that you can rank (competitiveness), and that when they see your material, it will be rich enough to encourage them to take the appropriate action.
The second screen shot shows the results provided by Long Tail Pro. It is a very simplified view. They have used an algorithm to calculate an overall number instead of providing all of the granular detail and leaving the analysis to us. I really appreciate that. I’m a numbers junkie at heart but I can really appreciate some simple answers when it comes to this online stuff. The early results from Long Tail Pro Platinum shows the commerciality, the volume and the keyword competitiveness (shown inside the red oval). I have also highlighted one of the Platinum features like saving your favorites (indicated by the yellow stars inside the blue oval and with the black box in the top right-hand corner).
The developer, Spencer Haws, created a video comparing the two keyword research tools and the time that it would take to complete analysis of 5 seed keywords. Pretty compelling stuff.
Pro vs Platinum?
That’s your call, but I am glad that I upgraded. In fact, I purchased for the KC factor that is only available through the Platinum version.
Even after using Market Samurai for months, it was still a challenge to quickly determine if a keyword was a good fit for my skill level.
The KC is a single score, out of a 100, that tells me right away how hard it’ll be to rank for any potential keyword I’m considering.
When I first started, I selected keywords with different KCs and I created videos on YouTube.
I could see which ones I could get to rank and how long it took. That gives me a great idea of which keywords to choose in the future.
And, the fact that I can paste in my own keywords is also very helpful.
(When you buy through me, I will show you in the bonus video how I put that feature to use – in a sneaky genius kind of way.)

Okay, so I have selected my niche market and I can find great long tail keywords. What do I do next?
Those are two of the most critical steps. Once you do that, you’re already ahead of the competition. But, you’ll still need to create compelling keyword-targeted content. Then get it out there for the world to see (more on that coming soon), get ranked and make some sales or build a following.
