Let’s just skip the small talk.
I’m putting all my cards on the table right now.
You can just walk away.
Or we really get to know each other.
If you’ve watched this video on my about me page, you already have a good idea of the what makes me get out of bed in the morning.
But, with this post, I think you’ll really get to know me on a much deeper level.
It sure feels good to lay my weird but true facts on the table…
Promise you won’t judge?
(Or laugh?)
Without further ado, here are 16 TMI*, weird but true facts about me:
One
I have a huge problem with puddles of water that I didn’t create. Little ones next to the bathroom sink. Little ones next to the kitchen sink. Even damp bath towels creep me out.
Any shower at the beach…Argggghhhh!!
Two
I love baby feet. I mean I will stop in my tracks in the mall if I see those fat little feet poking out of a blanket in the stroller. Or hanging out of the baby sling. If you look at one of my Pinterest boards, you will see what I mean. (Photo by Amundn)
I LOVE my sleep. Always have. It’s rare that I wouldn’t get a solid 8-hours each night and if I don’t, everyone in my house gives me plenty of space.
I am also a night-owl. If I didn’t have to get the kids ready for school, I would stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning and sleep until 11 am.
Four
I’m really an introvert. But I love a good conversation and I don’t mind public speaking at all. A friend sent me a list of 25 ways to Know You are An Introvert. I qualified for 24 out of 25.
Five
I have no problem with saying, “No.”
Sometimes I think it is too easy. But then again, we have to know where to draw the line.
I am a big believer in, “You teach people how to treat you.”
Six
I love the smell of rain. Yes it has a smell. And I love thunder.
Seven
I love workout clothes. I wear them all the time. I just came from the gym. I am on my way to the gym. I might go to the gym. If you look closely in my videos I may be wearing workout clothes.
Eight
My favorite movie is the Wizard of Oz. the first one with the bad effects and the horse of a different color. I love that part.
Oh and almost anything with The Rock or Matthew McConaughey will do in a pinch.
Nine
Dairy intolerance – ‘nough said.
Ten
My pregnancy fog never lifted. You know that inability to concentrate that they blame on the hormonal shifts. Well, mine never went away.
Eleven
I have a tough time not thinking about my online network marketing business.
I find myself having conversations with people, where my interaction is on autopilot and ten minutes later, I realize I haven’t paid attention to a thing they were saying. I can see their lips moving but I don’t hear a word they are saying.
Now that I think about it, maybe I caught that condition from my husband. I wonder what he is thinking about when I am talking.
Twelve
I’m love a flexible schedule. I have this successful online business, I have had other home-based businesses for years and I teach online for a couple of universities. But I never have to be anywhere at any specific time. Except to get the kids to and from school. It stresses me out to have more than one appointment in a week.
This is one of the main reasons why I’ve built my business the way I have, online through blogging (and why I joined Empower Network).
I can do it whenever I want, and I never have to “show up” or be accountable for any meetings or appointments. I’m very anti-schedule and it’s rare that any two days will ever look alike.
Thirteen
Thirteen is my favorite number.
Fourteen
I always think it should be forteen…
And I am really good at math!
Fifteen
I don’t really trust people who don’t like chocolate or desserts. You don’t have to eat them all of the time but if you can easily resist the temptation, you might be an alien or a robot.
Sixteen
I do this because I love it.
I love everything about it.
I love learning something new everyday.
I love being surrounded by people who believe in themselves and me.
I love the fact that the sky is the limit.
I love the fact that I can surround myself with strong women who “handle it.”
I love that I work with people who say, “Tell me what needs to be done and get out my way.”
I love how I can be myself and wear workout clothes and work when it fits and make my dreams come true. And that everyone else can have what they want too.
I guess that really sums it up.
I believe that everyone should have what they really want.
They decide and go after it like nothing else matters until they get what they want.
(Just like every wonderful 2 year old on the face of the earth.)
I hope that through this blog, I can help YOU have what you really want, whatever that may look like.
